Abstract

This article analyzes the life, politics, and cultural years of Ashurbanipal (669–627 BC), one of the last great rulers of the Assyrian Empire. Ashurbanipal is notable for his military campaigns, consolidation of central authority, economic policies, and legacy. His personal library and his focus on science contributed to the flourishing of Assyrian culture. The article highlights the important events, military campaigns, and policies of his reign. Historical sources show that the era of Ashurbanipal was one of the most brilliant pages of Assyria, and his library had a great influence on Middle Eastern civilization.
