Motivation is a key driver of academic success, and the role of the teacher in cultivating it is both complex and crucial. While curriculum and environment influence learning, it is often the teacher’s interaction, feedback, and instructional style that determine how engaged and motivated students are. This article explores how teachers foster motivation through relational, instructional, and psychological means. It highlights intrinsic versus extrinsic motivation, effective teaching strategies, and the importance of classroom climate. Drawing on educational psychology and classroom practice, it argues that teachers are central to inspiring a lifelong love of learning and helping students believe in their ability to succeed.
